A seminar on fundraising was held in organization of the Swedish foundation   Kvinna Till Kvinna and CIRa (Center for Institutional Development) from Skopje, from 14 to 18 March 2010 in Kotor, Republic of Montenegro .

The seminar was attended by organizations from Macedonia and Montenegro, as well as from representatives of regional offices of the foundation Kvinna Till Kvinna. The objective of this seminar was to familiarize the attending organizations with the mechanisms of organizing fundraising events in order to achieve the causes related to their area of work.

 Collection of financial means is one of the ways to mobilize funds from individuals, community, local government, or government to be used in philanthropic causes that will serve for community's common good. In order to mobilize the financial means from the donors , it is important the donors to  share the same goals and opinions with the organization asking for those means.

Afterwards this seminar on initiative of the Montenegrin organization Bona Fide,  it was asked to organize a fundraising event with a concrete objective - helping their beneficiary who is in extremely bad situation.

We would  proudly like to emphasize that all participants of this seminar, and the trainers  participated in the organized fundraising, where collected 430 euro in cash which were given to the organization Bona fide, in order to give the woman for who they were aimed in first place. This seminar was of big importance to our organization which is already making plans on organizing a local fundraising event.
